Idineploy na ng Joint Task Force (JTF) COVID Sheild ang Philippine National Police-Special Action Force (PNP-SAF) para sa mas mahigpit na pagpapatupad ng Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) sa Metro Manila. Ayon kay PNP Deputy Director for Operations at JTF Covid Shield Commander PLt. Gen. Guillermo Eleazar, ipinadala ngayong umaga ang 116 na SAF troopers sa 10 lugar sa Metro Manila kung saan laganap ang paglabag sa social distancing at home quarantine. Ang mga ito ay hinati sa 12 teams na may tig-walong miyembro na ikinalat sa Blumentritt sa Sta. Cruz, Manila; Libertad, Pasay City; Pasig Palengke; Napindan, Taguig; Lower Bicutan, Taguig; Public Market of Las Pinas City; North Caloocan; Alabang Public Market; Bagong Paranaque Public Market; at Marikina Public Market.

Sinabi ni Eleazar na ang hakbang ay inaprubahan ni PNP Chief PGen. Archie Francisco Gamboa, para tulungan ang local Police sa pagpapatupad ng ECQ. Sa pag-iinspeksyon ni Eleazar sa mga tropang naka-deploy sa Blumentritt Market ngayong umaga, binilinan niya ang mga ito na maging istrikto at magpakita ng propesyonalismo sa pagsuway sa mga makukulit na mamamayan. Banta naman ni Eleazar sa mga pasaway, huwag subukan ang SAF dahil siguradong sa kulungan ang bagsak nila.
