Nagpasalamat naman si Agriculture Secretary William Dar sa Pangulo ng Republic of Korea sa kanilang kabutihang-loob sa pagtulong sa mga Pilipino. Sinabi ng kalihim na ang rice donation ay bahagi ng emergency food assistance ng Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs ng South Korea.

Ayon naman kay NFA Administrator Judy Carol Dansal, nasa mga warehouse na ng NFA sa General Santos at Manila ang mga donasyong bigas.
